FitRankings Bolsters Support of National Governing Bodies of Sport with New Virtual Challenge

Austin, TX – July 20, 2021 –FitRankings, the most technologically advanced connected fitness and health platform for the enterprise, is proud to power National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) in their pursuit to offer engaging virtual fitness experiences. Together FitRankings and NGBs are building community through enhanced past, present, and future virtual challenges.

NGBs like USA Triathlon strive to implement initiatives that encourage individuals into action while inspiring the next generation of athletes. Launching July 19th, USA Triathlon is uniting participants from across the globe with the Power Within Virtual Tri to Tokyo presented by MANSCAPED. Participants are encouraged to sign up, join a team, and race 6,359 miles, which is the distance from the Training Center in Colorado Springs to Odaiba Marine Park in Tokyo. During this eight-week virtual endurance challenge, teams can create their strategy, conquering the miles through any combination of swimming, biking, and running. Powered by the FitRankings platform, participants can utilize any wearable fitness device, tracker, or app to log their mileage and track their virtual progress.

In addition to working with USA Triathlon, FitRankings has powered a host of virtual fitness experiences for other NGBs including USA Cycling. This past November, participants of USAC’s American Climbing Challenge utilized FitRanking’s turnkey platform to test their endurance and track their progress as they virtually climbed three of the gnarliest roads in America, culminating at the summit of Pikes Peak, covering nearly 18,000 feet of vertical elevation gain throughout the three week experience. In February, USAC launched its 2021 FitRankings virtual race partnership with the Kittie Knox Challenge, which utilized the embedded map feature allowing participants to track their progress as they retraced the civil rights activist’s iconic journey from Boston, MA to Asbury Park, NJ. Participants can register, pay, and engage with the community within the USA Cycling website while real-time challenge updates, social functionality, and messaging capabilities ensure all participants stay informed and engaged, creating the best virtual challenge experience possible.
