Feisty Media Expands Podcast Network Into Trail Running and Relaunches Feisty Women’s Performance Podcast with Renowned Experts
January 16, 2026
January 16, 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Feisty Media announces today two new podcasts under the Feisty umbrella: the Feisty Women’s Performance podcast, and a partnership with the iconic trail running show Trail Society.
The new Feisty Women’s Performance show, hosted by Dr. Erin Ayala and available on all major podcast platforms, cuts through the noise to bring women credible, science-backed insights to live their best, healthiest, active life.
Each episode dives deep into one of the four pillars of performance — physiology, nutrition, mental health, and cultural issues — with leading experts in order to move beyond the male-dominated lens of sports science. The show launched with a special episode with Dr. Emily Kraus, the head of Stanford’s FASTR (Female Athlete Science and Translational Research) program, on the specific issues that affect female athletes and active women.
Feisty is also welcoming Trail Society, the pioneering show from professional trail runners Keely Henninger, Corrine Malcolm, and Hillary Allen. The trio use their experience as athletes and scientists to dive deep into the world of trail running, foster community, and tackle questions of training, racing, and equality.
As part of the new partnership with Feisty, Trail Society will now expand to weekly shows, starting this month, and will feature additional interviews and stories from the trails.
Both shows build on the Feisty mission of providing women with the space and tools they need to be the best, feistiest versions of themselves, and will help connect and grow the number of women out there who are already tackling big goals and who are looking for support whether they’re running, lifting, biking, or simply trying to live healthy active full lives.

Meet the hosts:
Dr. Erin Ayala is a Sport Psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant, who works almost exclusively with female athletes across the lifespan. She has a PhD in Counseling Psychology, is a member of the USOPC Mental Health Directory, and is, herself, an accomplished cyclist.
Entering her first year as a “former” pro athlete, Corinne Malcolm is an ultra running commentator, frequently heard on race broadcasts, an editor involved in countless science and running projects, and a coach for all level of athletes.
After an accident in 2017, where she fell 150 feet off a ridgeline during a race, Hillary “Hillygoat” Allen returned to professional running and wrote a book about her experience, Out and Back: A Runner’s Story of Survival and Recovery Against All Odds.
Keely Henninger is a two-time top ten finisher at Western States 100, and a long-time advocate for female athletes. She also spent seven years as a sports scientist at Nike and is now a medical student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she hopes to further advance research on women’s health.
