January 29, 2026

Overall total raised in 42 years is more than $138M

TUCSON, Ariz. (January 29, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – It was another successful year at Perimeter Bicycling and El Tour de Tucson in 2025 with nearly 11,000 participants in the event.

Behind 122 non-profit partners, Perimeter Bicycling and El Tour helped raise more than $8 million for their respective charities.

The total raised in the 42 years of Perimeter Bicycling and El Tour is now more than $138 million with nearly 311,000 cyclists participating in El Tour-related events.

“We wouldn’t be able to help raise that amount of money without our great non-profit partners and all their hard work,” said TJ Juskiewicz, El Tour’s executive director. “Of course, don’t forget the cyclists, who are the riding force behind all the success – it’s beyond inspirational what they do. The money raised is an impressive number we are very proud of as we continue to help promote cycling through the kindness of charity.”

El Tour officials hope to do even better in 2026 for our 43rd annual event. In 2025, El Tour brought cyclists from every state in the country and from 26 countries. El Tour is slated for Nov. 21, 2026.

“What sets El Tour de Tucson apart from any other cycling event in the country is the charitable mission at the heart of its existence,” said Steve Morganstern, board chairman for Perimeter Bicycling and El Tour de Tucson. “In 2025, the nonprofit organizations used El Tour as a platform to raise funds for their causes — many of them local to Tucson.

“Over the event’s 42-year history, El Tour de Tucson has helped raise $138 million. This enduring commitment to giving back is what makes El Tour more than a cycling and running event, and why so many participants return year after year.”

El Tour is one of the largest rides in the United States and Arizona’s longest-running bicycle event. El Tour de Tucson has been presented on the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year since 1983. The event covers ground in several communities of Pima County, typically attracting more than 11,000 riders and runners with events for all abilities and skill levels.
