Registration, limited to 100 riders, is filling up fast. Join us for a great day of riding, community fun, all to benefit people living with Parkinson’s

Parker, Colo. — Beautiful, elegant, classic and filled with enthusiasm and fun, the Eddy Rando is a 30-mile ride for steel-bike enthusiasts. One-hundred riders with a passion for steel bikes will join with like-minded cyclists for the Eddy Rando on June 13 in Parker. Registration is here.

Riders of vintage or modern steel bikes can choose from two routes through scenic Parker, Colorado, enjoy lunch, and get some sweet swag.

In addition to the ride, there is a silent auction with amazing finds following the race, and a steel bike display that will be perfect for enthusiasts.

This is the sixth annual event, and the first to have an official beneficiary: The Davis Phinney Foundation – a national nonprofit based in Colorado dedicated to helping people with Parkinson’s live well today.

“For the first time, the Eddy Rando is partnering with a charity organization and the Davis Phinney Foundation is an obvious choice,” says event organizer Kim Baker. “Both Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter Phinney hearken back to the golden age of steel framed bicycle racing. We are proud to assist the Davis Phinney Foundation in their goal of helping people live well with Parkinson’s and happy to support a Colorado charity with strong ties to cycling.”

With Colorado greening up, Parker will be the ultimate beautiful destination for steel bike enthusiasts to hit the road and enjoy an amazing outdoor adventure. Vintage or modern, all steel bike riders are warmly welcomed and lunch will be provided for riders by Qdoba.

This isn’t just an event for the cyclists. Community members are invited to tour the bike show and vote for their favorites to win the popular vote prize. There will be live music and entertainment. Come and ride or just come and enjoy! This is an event that welcomes everyone.

The Davis Phinney Foundation  was founded by Olympic cyclist Davis Phinney in 2004 to help people with Parkinson’s live well today. The organization’s focus is to provide programs and resources that offer inspiration, information and tools that enable people living with Parkinson’s to take action that can immediately improve their quality of life. Parkinson’s is the No. 2 neurodegenerative disease — second to Alzheimer’s — and affects more than 1 million people in the United States. The Foundation’s work impacts hundreds of thousands of individuals and families each year.

Team DPF  is  the grassroots fundraising community that supports the Davis Phinney Foundation through participation in a wide range of athletic and community-based events. With a focus on fun, personal empowerment and fundraising for Parkinson’s, Team DPF welcomes all ages and abilities. With roots in cycling, Team DPF also extends to runners, climbers, swimmers, hikers, community events and more. Team DPF is sponsored by: Primal, AltRed, SCRATCH Labs, BOCO Gear, The Sufferfest, Baker Insurance and Boulder Neurological and Spine Associates. Visit  dpf.org   to learn more.
