Community Halloween Event and Trick or Treating to Kick-Off Saturday’s Into The Lion’s Den Powered By SRAM

DAY-LONG CELEBRATION, STARTS WITH FAMILY ACTIVITIES AND ENDS WITH TOP CYCLISTS COMPETING FOR THE LARGEST EQUAL PRIZE PURSE IN U.S. CRIT RACING HISTORY

SACRAMENTO (October 29, 2021) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – In addition to world class cyclists, families will also line up on the Into the Lion’s Den powered by SRAM starting line on Saturday, October 30th at 1:00pm. The first event on course will be the Community Halloween Event, where families can casually bike or walk the criterium loop around the Capitol grounds in costume. The first 100 people in costume at the starting line, on 11th Streel and L Street, will receive a SRAM t-shirt. At 1:30pm, a panel of judges, including CEO Mike Testa, Visit Sacramento and pro riders who will be competing later in the day, will award prizes to the best costumes in the event.

Into the Lion’s Den will have something for everyone. From a Halloween costume ride to some of the fastest men and women on two-wheels competing on our city streets,” said CEO Mike Testa, Visit Sacramento. “Sacramento is proud to host the event and to give families and cycling fans a great way to celebrate their Halloween Eve.”

Trick or Treating and other festive activities will begin at 12:00noon in the Bike Festival area. Kids can paint paper pumpkins and other Halloween items in the SRAM festival area.

Attendees can securely park their bikes at the Bike Valet presented by Competitive Cyclist, enjoy course music by Red Bull, plus finish line tunes from the Jaybird Sound Tower and learn about the latest SRAM cycling technology and Specialized bicycles. Cycling apparel by Rapha and Vuori premium performance apparel will be showcased in the festival.  The Fat Tire Beer Garden will be open to fans 21 years and older.

The day will conclude with the Official Into the Lion’s Den Post Party presented by Red Bull at Mix Downtown, 1525 L Street. Starting at 9pm, race attendees, who are 21 years and older, will be able to celebrate with the Pro racers.

“Saturday will be a day to remember for families, cycling fans and racers. Into the Lion’s Den powered by SRAM will have something for everyone. Kids can trick or treat, while their parents check out the latest cycling products. Families and individuals can show off their creativity, wear costumes and try to win prizes,” said Justin Williams, top U.S. Road racer, founder of Into the Lion’s Den and L39ION of Los Angeles. “I promise Saturday is going to be filled with fun for all and fast racing.
