Coming This Month: USA Triathlon’s Seventh Annual National Triathlon Week Presented By Nix Biosensors

June 7, 2023

The seventh annual social and digital campaign by USA Triathlon celebrates multisport and promotes sharing of stories and training tips by current multisport athletes, making the week an ideal opportunity for prospective athletes to learn more about the multisport lifestyle.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo./ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – USA Triathlon today announced the dates for the seventh annual National Triathlon Week Presented by Nix Biosensors, a nationwide initiative to celebrate the sport of triathlon and all its constituency groups. The social-media-based campaign brings the multisport community together from June 26-July 2 — not only to swim, bike and run, but also to share experiences, inspiring stories, advice and support.

National Triathlon Week is not only a celebration of triathletes and paratriathletes from all backgrounds, but also a chance to recognize those who play an active role in fueling the multisport lifestyle — from race directors and officials to coaches and race-day volunteers.

Throughout the week, athletes are encouraged to get involved and celebrate the sport by posting on social media with the hashtag #TriWeek and tagging @usatriathlon. During National Triathlon Week in 2022, social posts about #TriWeek garnered more than 1 million impressions.

“We are thrilled to be the title sponsor for USA Triathlon’s National Triathlon Week again this year,” said Meridith Cass, CEO of Nix Biosensors. “Triathletes are among some of the most data-driven athletes, and we are honored to support ongoing education about the importance of hydration for optimal safety and performance.”

“National Triathlon Week is an opportunity for triathletes, coaches, clubs, race directors, officials and industry members to share their collective knowledge and passion for the sport — not only with each other, but with aspiring triathletes as well,” said Victoria Brumfield, USA Triathlon CEO. “We look forward to the week-long celebration of the sport and we encourage and invite all members of our wonderful multisport community to get involved.”

Multisport community members are also encouraged to participate in USA Triathlon Foundation Giving Day on June 28, which invites the multisport community to join the USA Triathlon Foundation in support of growing our community, sport and future.

Throughout National Triathlon Week, content will be shared daily on USA Triathlon’s website and social media channels, including inspiring age-group and elite athlete feature stories, swim, bike and run tips from USA Triathlon Certified Coaches and information on how athletes can get involved in the sport, including racing in USA Triathlon Sanctioned races in their local communities. A different multisport-related theme will be featured each day of National Triathlon Week, with daily prizes from USA Triathlon’s corporate partners offered on the @usatriathlon social media channels.
