Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Super League Triathlon Announce Location for 2024 Corporate Challenge

LOS ANGELES & LONG BEACH, CA (February 08, 2024)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Super League Triathlon and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) are excited to continue their partnership at the 2024 Corporate Challenge, which will take place at the Long Beach Legacy Triathlon on July 21, 2024. CHLA has been named the premier beneficiary of the event, with fundraising efforts supporting the hospital’s Pediatric Cancer Research Program.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is ranked the No. 1 pediatric hospital in California, No. 1 on the West Coast and among the top 10 in the nation, according to the 2023-24 U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll of Best Children’s Hospitals, solidifying the organization as a valued and trusted destination for families seeking exceptional health care. Super League Triathlon is thrilled to continue the fundraising tradition that has already raised $18 million for Pediatric Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

The Long Beach Legacy Triathlon, operated by Super League Triathlon, will take place at the proposed venue for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games. For Legacy’s 2024 Corporate Challenge, participants will race a fun, fast and beginner-friendly sprint-distance (half-mile swim, 12.4-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run) triathlon. Kids 7 to 18 years of age can join in the fun with a Kids Splash and Dash, a 100-meter open water swim and a 1-kilometer run while the younger ones can participate in the ever-popular Tot Trot.

The Long Beach Triathlon’s Corporate Challenge brings together teams from across the entertainment industry and Fortune 500 companies in a fun and fierce competition to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Participants in the Corporate Challenge benefit from the healthy lifestyle and camaraderie that flourishes because of training, racing and fundraising together.

This exclusive network of professionals builds lasting connections through Corporate Challenge Club bike rides, pool clinics and open water swim clinics. Participants gain confidence in their swimming, biking and running skills while making a difference in the lives of children. At the end of the triathlon, awards are presented to the teams that raise the most money as well as the fastest teams.

The Pediatric Cancer Research Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is dedicated to curing and preventing childhood cancers. The program provides groundbreaking treatments and therapies for children with some of the most threatening forms of cancer. Dramatic advances in cancer research and treatment over the past two decades have made it possible for more children to survive a cancer diagnosis.
