Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee introduces ‘Solo Challenge’: ‘Doing nothing is not an option’

June 25, 2020

Unusual times require unusual solutions. It’s with this mindset CHALLENGE KAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE is introducing their Solo Challenge, which gives athletes the chance to participate in their own race. “Unfortunately we had to cancel our planned 11th edition of CHALLENGE KAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE , including the ETU European Championship on June, 28th. But do nothing, is not an option”, said by Race Director Ilona Klingler.

Athletes will be given the opportunity to participate from June 28th to September 6th. “Everyone can be part of this individual, solo CHALLENGE KAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE. Athletes can register online and race whenever they like, of course within the given time period. The swim start is as usual at Cafe See La Vie in Walchsee and the two laps swim leads up to the CHALLENGE FAMILY buoy and back to the start.”

Even the two laps bike course and four laps run course are well signed on the road, to make it very easy to compete. “Athletes can also download the GPX data for the bike and run course as well. In the end, the original finish gantry is waiting for all athletes and then they can say they are the proud finishers of the Solo CHALLENGE KAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE.”

All finishers will be given the opportunity to upload their finish time to the finisher list. Athletes, who were registered for Kaiserwinkl 2020 already, can participate for free. Also not-registered athletes can participate, but they will pay a small fee. Athletes can get their starter package, including a personalized bib number, swim cap and Kaiserwinkl Guest Card, at the Kaiserwinkl Information Office in Walchsee.
