British Triathlon and TrainingPeaks Extend Long-Standing Partnership

August 15, 2025

Louisville, Colo. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – British Triathlon and TrainingPeaks are extending their long-standing partnership, with TrainingPeaks continuing as the official training software supplier to British Triathlon through to the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

Since the partnership began in 2014, TrainingPeaks’ software has played a key role in supporting British Triathlon’s elite athletes and coaches, contributing to performances on the world stage – including 12 medals for the GB team at the Paris 2024 Games.

The new four-year extension strengthens that collaboration, providing continued support to the British Triathlon World Class Programme and beyond, as the focus shifts to the next Paralympic and Olympic cycle.

As part of the renewed agreement, TrainingPeaks and British Triathlon will also work together to promote and empower coaches across the wider triathlon community, including a joint focus on the ‘Women Who Endure’ initiative – a series of training plans designed by women, for women.

“TrainingPeaks gives our Olympic and Paralympic athletes control and a sense of clarity over their training,” said Mike Cavendish, Performance Director at British Triathlon. “The ability to see weeks and months ahead when training for 25 to 30 hours a week is absolutely crucial. TrainingPeaks also gives our coaches a single point of reference for all athletes on the programme, giving them a real level of insight and objectivity.”

“British Triathlon has been an excellent partner for many years, and we’re thrilled to extend our partnership with this decorated organization through the 2028 Games,” said Dirk Friel, co-founder and Chief Evangelist at TrainingPeaks. “National governing bodies and high-performance teams around the world trust TrainingPeaks as the gold-standard endurance platform for their coaches and athletes, and we’re honoured to have British Triathlon among that list.”

“We are delighted to renew our partnership with TrainingPeaks for the next Olympic and Paralympic cycle,” added Gareth May, British Triathlon’s Director of Commercial & Brand Partnerships. “TrainingPeaks has been a valued partner of British Triathlon for more than ten years, and this renewal will allow us to provide excellent coaching support for elite athletes, coaches, and the wider triathlon community, as well as extend the breadth of our offer to British Triathlon members.”

As part of the agreement, British Triathlon members will receive TrainingPeaks discounts to help them track their training, monitor progress, and analyse race performances, as well as access exclusive training tips, endurance guides, and training plans.
