Bay Area 100 Announces Official Partnerships for Inaugural Trail Ultramarathon

April 9, 2026

MOUNT TO COAST NAMED PRESENTING SPONSOR

APRIL 9. 2026, OAKLAND, CA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Bay Area 100 is proud to announce its official corporate sponsors and partnerships for the race’s inaugural running on June 13. This premier slate of partners, led by presenting sponsor Mount to Coast, brings together a group of brands deeply committed to grassroots trail running and supporting athletes as they chase the goals of a lifetime.

Recognized as the “Bay Area 100 powered by Mount to Coast,” the ultramarathon event is a point-to-point 100-mile journey starting at the iconic Cal Memorial Stadium in Berkeley and finishing on the track at Skyline High School in Oakland. With more than 18,000 feet of vertical gain, the course is designed to challenge the limits of human endurance while showcasing the very best of the SF/Bay Area: from redwood forests and lake shores to exposed ridges with sweeping coastal views.

A WORLD-CLASS PARTNERSHIP

As the Official Footwear partner of the Bay Area 100, Mount to Coast brings trusted long-distance running excellence to the East Bay Regional Parks. Their footwear is engineered to meet the standards of the world’s toughest races, making them the perfect fit for a course that traverses the rugged landscapes of Las Trampas Wilderness and the fire trails of Lake Chabot.

“We realized right away that the Bay Area 100 has the potential of growing into a marquee race on the ultramarathon calendar, and are proud to support it in its inaugural year,” said Ben Blankenship, Mount to Coast Sports Marketing Manager.

Bay Area 100 runners can also expect to see several members of the Mount to Coast Team toeing the starting line alongside them this June.

COMMITMENT TO THE PLANET AND ATHLETE PERFORMANCE

The Bay Area 100 is also proud to welcome Hydrapak as the Official Sustainable Racing Partner. Born in the Bay Area in 2001, Hydrapak will provide reusable Limited Edition SpeedCups and sustainable racing supplies to ensure the event leaves a minimal footprint.

To keep runners fueled and moving, the race has partnered with industry leaders in nutrition and hydration:

  • Skratch Labs: The Official Hydration Partner, providing real-food-based hydration mixes designed to match the sodium profile lost in sweat.
  • GU Energy Labs: Based in Berkeley, the Official Nutrition Partner will provide their legendary gels and chews to help runners maintain blood sugar and prevent “hitting the wall.”

“The Bay Area is where GU was born, and it continues to shape who we are,” said Celia Camargo, Director of Community & Purpose at GU Energy Labs. “Based in Berkeley since 1993, we’ve been focused on helping athletes reach their highest potential while increasing access to sport for all. Supporting the Bay Area 100 is a celebration of this region’s deep endurance culture and the community that inspires us every day.”

DEEP LOCAL ROOTS

The Bay Area 100’s community-first mission is further bolstered by partnerships with local staples:

  • Sports Basement: Serving as a staging point for pre-race activities, including packet pick-up and pre-race interviews, this athletic retailer is a vital community hub that provides space and support for the local athletic lifestyle.
  • East Peak: Founded by Marin County trail runners, East Peak provides durable gear designed for the unique demands of Northern California trails, embodying the “run wild, strange, and free” ethos of the region.

For Eric Prosnitz, President and CEO of Sports Basement, the connection with the trail-running community runs deep, and he’s counting the days until Race Weekend: “As a Bay Area company, we love what the Bay Area 100 stands for. We’re thrilled that a 100-mile race is finally coming to our community, and honored to host runners, crew, and families — from Training Camp all the way through Athlete Village on race week.”

The Bay Area 100 invites the community to support these sponsors, whose enthusiasm and investment are helping to establish this race as a cornerstone of the global trail ultrarunning calendar.
