Storied New England event leads the pack in decision to share race day course experience globally
FALMOUTH, Mass. (Aug. 14, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Runners everywhere can soon experience the thrill of running one of New England’s favorite summer road races on the Kinomap app. The ASICS Falmouth Road Race will be available on the Kinomap for Races platform later this fall.
“We’re thrilled to find new ways to bring the ASICS Falmouth Road Race to the world,” said Jennifer Edwards, Executive Director of Falmouth Road Race, Inc. “Since not everyone can experience the uniqueness of Falmouth, we created the At-Home edition of the event and now we can share the actual course and the excitement of the day with anyone who may not be able to make it to Cape Cod.”
The non-profit Falmouth Road Race organization is dedicated to promoting health and fitness for all in its community. Proceeds from the race each year support youth athletic programs in the town of Falmouth and other non-profit community groups.
“Kinomap for Races will allow runners from anywhere to see, hear and feel what it’s like to be a race day participant in some very special events, including the ASICS Falmouth Road Race,” said Gary McNamee, Managing Director of Kinomap, North America. “Those who cannot be at the event even have the chance to take part remotely in a shared experience, right in their home or health club. It’s the next best thing to being there.”
The Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of the summer season. Each year the race draws an international field of Olympians, elite runners and recreational runners out to enjoy the scenic 7-mile seaside course.
Events everywhere are invited to film their courses and uploading them to Kinomap. Interested race directors can learn how their event can be included here.
The equipment agnostic Kinomap app pairs to a cardio device, such as a treadmill, and automatically adjusts to the inclines of the hills found on the course, while also adjusting the on-screen video speed to exactly match the pace of the viewer.

About Kinomap for Races
Kinomap is a developer of a patented course simulator technology for treadmills and other cardio equipment. The company partners with marquee endurance events, creating a race day course simulation, capturing all the electricity and excitement of the event from a runner’s point of view for an interactive course preview of an event, or to train and visualize prior to race day. Entrants can also participate remotely and officially through running, cycling, and even rowing in their health club or living room. This can turn a local live foot race into an international multi-sport event, creating a wider opportunity for the race with a pay to participate experience, benefitting the race, its sponsors, its vendors, its charities and participants around the world.
