A Second Edition of The Virtual Racing Retreat To The Arima Hot Spring

Kobe, Japan / Arima Cycle invites riders from all over the world to join the ‘Arima & Mt.Rokko Virtual Ride Race 2021’ on Thursday, July 22nd at 15:00 JST (8:00 am CEST). Everyone is welcome to challenge the continental Japanese pros on ROUVY in the 2nd virtual retreat to the Arima Hot Spring, the oldest town of hot springs in Japan.

Mount Rokko is high…

The racing fun begins on the streets of Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture and snakes its way through the city, passing the metropolis. Winding through a few villages, the landscape of the course gradually changes to a classic Japanese deep green forest giving the racers plenty of space for peaceful, zen-like contemplation, inspiring riders to concentrate on nothing but turning the pedals to make it to the top. Riders will rush to the summit of Mount Rokko in the 15km challenging uphill race with drafting on.

This race is an open, public event and anyone with a smart trainer can teleport to Japan on ROUVY to join the pro riders from the Continental teams.

 PRIVATE ‘WATCH-ONLY’ IN-PERSON EVENTS

• Physical Esports Exhibition race | 11:00 JST/ 04:00 a.m. CEST

To be a top competitor, strong physical shape and persistence are required for staying on top during the competitions. 5 esports gamers will be given 30 minutes to reach the finish gate, as a challenge. Who will be the fastest esports gamer?

-> This race will be held as a private event. The community is invited to watch and enjoy the live stream.

• Corporate Competition Exhibition Race | 13:00 JST / 06:00 a.m. CEST

The corporates around Arima and Mt. Rokko will come together to take on this challenge of a hill climb. Each company will make a group of 3 riders. Each rider can switch only once anytime during the race. They will be given 60 minutes to reach the goal gate.
