Surf N Santa 5 Miler Brings Holiday Magic To Thousands on Virginia Beach Boardwalk

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA (December 16, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – J&A Racing’s BayPort Credit Union Surf N Santa 5 Miler presented by Sentara lit up the Virginia Beach oceanfront this past Saturday, December 13, with an unforgettable wave of holiday spirit. The festive tradition welcomed 4,300 spirited participants who traveled from 27 states to run, walk, and celebrate under the iconic Boardwalk lights—marking the event’s most vibrant gathering in five years.

The scene was a festive spectacle as thousands of runners, decked in Santa suits, elf gear, and creative holiday attire, created a moving sea of red and cheer along the illuminated course. Perfect running weather amplified the energy, which was fueled by holiday-themed activations including gingerbread cookies, peppermint taffy, and hot cocoa stations.

“The Virginia Beach Boardwalk was absolutely alive with joy and community,” said Race Directors, Jerry and Amy Frostick. “Seeing so many people, from across the country and right here at home, come together in costume for this pure, festive fun is what the Surf N Santa spirit is all about. The energy this year was incredible.”

The celebration culminated in a festive post-race luau where finishers enjoyed live music, a refreshing beer, and warm soup—a perfect cap to a classic Virginia Beach holiday experience. More than just a race, the Surf N Santa 5 Miler is a beloved holiday tradition—a festive event showcasing J&A Racing’s commitment to creating vibrant, community-focused events.
