Game On! Race Events Hosts the 2025 City Bikes Key Largo Triathlon — A Fun and Scenic Race in the Florida Keys

KEY LARGO, FL (July 15, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – On Sunday, August 17, 2025, athletes from all over Florida and beyond will head to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park for the Game On! Key Largo Triathlon — a summer race that combines fitness, fun, and some of the best views the Florida Keys have to offer.

This annual event is known for its beautiful course through one of the most scenic parks in the state. Participants will swim in the calm, clear ocean water, bike along Overseas Highway, and run through the tropical surroundings of John Pennekamp State Park. It’s a laid-back, welcoming race for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned triathlete or trying your first multisport event.

There are several race options available, including an international-distance triathlon, duathlon and aquabike, and a sprint triathlon and duathlon. There is something for everyone; relay options are also available. The course is flat and well-marked, with plenty of support from volunteers, police officers, and lifeguards to keep things running smoothly and safely.

“We love putting on this event because it gives people a chance to race in a place that’s truly special,” said Brian Huether, race director and co-founder of Game On! Race Events. “The atmosphere is relaxed, the scenery is beautiful, and it’s a great way to challenge yourself and enjoy the day.”

Returning participants say it’s one of their favorite races on the calendar. Andy Bohl, a local triathlete, shared his favorite part of the race: “I like the finish on Cannon Beach and the podium finish pictures with Key Largo sound in the background”. “Come race with me in paradise”, Andy exclaims!

The event also welcomes friends and family to come out and watch. Spectators can enjoy the beach, walk the park’s trails, or relax near the finish line to cheer on the participants as they cross. After the race, athletes and supporters alike can take in everything John Pennekamp Park has to offer — from snorkeling and kayaking to just soaking up the Keys sunshine.

Registration for the Game On! Key Largo Triathlon is now open, and spots are expected to fill up. The event is great for locals and visitors alike and offers a unique way to enjoy the natural beauty of South Florida while being active.
