2nd Annual Annapolis Running Festival Returns to Historic Downtown Annapolis on March 9th.

February 27, 2024

Annapolis, Maryland – February 27, 2024/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The 2nd Annual Annapolis Running Festival is back and ready to take over the streets of historic downtown Annapolis on March 9, 2024. Hosted by Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE), this festival celebrates the spirit of running and community while offering participants a chance to explore the scenic beauty of Maryland’s capital city.

The festival offers something for every runner, with three distinct race distances: the Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k. The half-marathon and 10K participants will traverse across the Naval Academy Bridge, giving runners picturesque waterfront views and a tour of Anne Arundel County on the beautiful B & A Trail before heading back to the stadium. All races will start and finish at the iconic Navy Stadium.

Runners will cross the finish line, receive their nautical-themed finishers medal, and enjoy the post-race festivities. This included live music, Michelob Ultras as well as oysters and steamed shrimp.

The event will once again feature an exciting element of the “Charity Chaser.” Annapolis Detective, Courtney Moore, will start the Half Marathon dead last, and for every runner they pass, Corrigan Sports Enterprises will donate $4 to the Annapolis Police Foundation.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Annapolis Running Festival for its second year, offering runners an opportunity to challenge themselves while enjoying this beautiful city,” said Lee Corrigan, President of CSE. “With the scenic routes, the Charity Chaser element, and the chance to explore the beauty of Annapolis, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all involved.”

Registration for the 2nd Annual Annapolis Running Festival is still open, offering participants an opportunity to join in on the fun and make a positive impact in the community. To register and learn more about the event, visit www.annapolisrunfest.com.
