2022 IRONMAN Athlete Choice Awards Announced for North American Region

- Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas, part of the VinFast IRONMAN U.S. Series earns Top Honors across multiple Athlete Choice Awards categories, as IRONMAN events in Chattanooga, Mont-Tremblant, Tulsa, and Lake Placid all earn category bests

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb 22, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – IRONMAN, today announced the North American regional results for the 2022 IRONMAN Athlete Choice Awards, highlighting the highest-scoring events in a variety of categories based solely on athlete surveys from all the 2022 IRONMAN® races across North America.

Out of the all the full distance IRONMAN events in North America that took place in 2022, Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, earned top honors making it into the Top five of five categories and winning three, including Best Finish Line Experience, Best Post-Race Celebration Experience and Best Overall Satisfaction.

Results for the North American regional 2022 Athlete Choice Awards were gathered from post event surveys sent to all athletes who competed in a VinFast IRONMAN North America Series triathlon. Surveys were based on a five-point satisfaction scale and encompassed multiple categories including: Overall Swim, Overall Bike, Overall Run, Overall Satisfaction, Overall Venue Experience, Overall Post-Race Celebration, Will Attend Next Year, and Will Recommend to a Friend, among others. After collecting feedback from thousands of survey respondents who participated in 2022, the winners were chosen for each category of IRONMAN events, marking a major accomplishment for the events and their host communities.
