2022 IRONMAN 70.3 Athlete Choice Awards Announced for North American Region

IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie earns top honors winning Best Overall Race

TAMPA, Fla. (Mar. 2, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – IRONMAN today announced the North American regional results for the 2022 IRONMAN 70.3 Athlete Choice Awards, highlighting the highest-scoring events in a variety of categories based solely on athlete surveys from all the 2022 IRONMAN® 70.3 races across North America.

Out of the all the half distance IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons in North America that took place in 2022, IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie earned top honors with Best Overall Race, while IRONMAN 70.3 Michigan, IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina, IRONMAN 70.3 Musselman, IRONMAN 70.3 Oregon, and St. Jude IRONMAN 70.3 Memphis were recognized with category bests for the Athlete Choice Awards.

Results for the North American regional 2022 Athlete Choice Awards were gathered from post event surveys sent to all athletes who competed in an IRONMAN 70.3 North America Series triathlon. Surveys were based on a five-point satisfaction scale and encompassed multiple categories including: Overall Swim, Overall Bike, Overall Run, Overall Satisfaction, Overall Venue Experience, Overall Post-Race Celebration, Will Attend Next Year, and Will Recommend to a Friend, among others. After collecting feedback from thousands of survey respondents who participated in 2022, the winners were chosen for each category of IRONMAN 70.3 events, marking a major accomplishment for the events and their host communities.
