2020 Hand and Stone Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon Going Virtual

June 10, 2020

Cape May, NJ (June 10, 2020) – Following in-depth discussions with the City of Philadelphia, DelMoSports has made the difficult decision to convert the 2020 Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon to a virtual event.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Philadelphia will not be opening Kelly Pool this summer and there are no more available dates later in the season to reschedule the event.

“We are certainly disappointed at the situation that has befallen us and many other events in the region and the country” said Stephen Del Monte, CEO/Founder of DelMoSports, LLC.  “We are confident, though, that this unique event that has garnered such great support over the past couple of years will come back stronger than ever in 2021. In the meantime, you will definitely not want to miss out on the virtual event and all the great swag that comes along with participating”.

Hand & Stone Virtual WPT participants will receive a super-premium merchandise collection including Blue Seventy swim goggles, swim cap and brick bag; a custom race shirt and buff/face covering; a Hand & Stone gift certificate; a custom Polar water bottle; a special 15% discount for the 2021 event, and other goodies.

Registration for the event will be open until July 11th and athletes can participate in a virtual sprint triathlon, duathlon, aquabike or 5K run/walk. Results must be posted between July 1st-26th.  For those who would like to defer their entry, DelMoSports will provide a 2-year deferral window, or the option to transfer to another select DelMoSports event.  The deferral window deadline is midnight, June 15th.
