World’s Best Triathletes Look Forward To Inaugural Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final

Doha, Qatar (November 11, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – With just one month to go until the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, the world’s best triathletes are looking forward to the season finale in Doha, Qatar, from 10-13 December.

New Zealand’s Olympic silver medallist Hayden Wilde leads the men’s start list, announced today by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and World Triathlon.

Wilde currently has a perfect winning record this season from five races, meaning he leads the

T100 Race To Qatar going into the final two events, in Dubai this weekend (15-16 November) and then the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final.

“Racing on the T100 Tour this season has been fantastic. I’ve really enjoyed the distance, the locations and the professional environment and first class race week support, which are all designed to create the most exciting elite triathlon racing. I’ve never been to Qatar before, but can’t wait to go, experience what the country has to offer and really embrace the final T100 event of the year.”

British Olympian Kate Waugh currently leads the women’s T100 Race To Qatar rankings and will headline the women’s start list.

“I’ve gained huge confidence doing the T100 Tour this year,” said Waugh. “Racing head-to-head against the world’s best triathletes over the 100km distance in iconic locations around the world has really suited my aggressive style of racing from the front. I’ve also enjoyed visiting some amazing places that I’ve never been to before and learning more about the city and local culture. Travelling to Qatar for the T100 World Championship Final is another adventure I’m looking forward to.”

In addition to the inspiration of watching the world’s best triathletes race, the Qatar event also features a strong amateur component, including the first ever T100 Age Grouper World Championships, which the PTO announced in April this year. Last week saw the course maps revealed.

Qatar T100 Community Captain Daniela Sposi, who is the secretary of Doha Tri Club as well as a teacher at Doha College, is doing the 100km amateur race and has embraced the local, thriving triathlon scene.

The Qatar T100 Kick Off Run begins the four-day Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final festival, which includes:

• Wednesday, Dec 10: Kick Off 5km Run
• Thursday, Dec 11: Event and fan village opens with food vendors, entertainment, and an expo across Lusail Plaza
• Friday, Dec 12: The Youth Sprint distance triathlon starts the day, before the season-long T100 Race To Qatar series concludes with T100 Professional Races, awarding the 2025 T100 World Championship titles
• Saturday, Dec 13: Amateur races including the T100 Age-Group World Championship, open-entry 100km distance, and sprint triathlon

Qatar’s vibrant waterfront city will be the backdrop to this international event, starting with a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km bike through Lusail’s iconic streets, and an 18km run through Lusail Plaza and Boulevard. The 9-leg T100 Triathlon World Tour has already visited Singapore, San Francisco, Vancouver, London, the French Riviera, Spain and Wollongong this year. The next stop is Dubai, from 13-16 November.
