Why Specialized’s New eMTB Costs as Much as a Car
September 2, 2025
To celebrate the undeniable success of the new Levo 4, Specialized has dropped a limited edition S-Works Levo 4 with custom paint-work, the latest Fox Podium fork, and a few other ridiculously bespoke parts – but it won’t come cheap, and this ultra special eMTB is going to cost you $20,000 USD.
The S-Works Levo 4 LTD is certainly something special, and it’s not often that a brand as prominent as Specialized specs a bike with such exotic components – parts that are usually reserved for custom-built, dream-bikes. This off-the-shelf Levo 4 LTD comes with a Fox Podium fork, Fox Float X GENIE shock, SRAM XX Transmission, Industry Nine A35 stem with RaceFace Era carbon bars, a Fox NEO wireless dropper post, and Roval Traverse Carbon HD rims laced to Industry Nine Hydra hubs. Save for the Fox Podium fork, this is pretty much the same build you’d find on the S-Works Levo 4, but things get really bespoke when you look at the brakes and cranks that Specialized has chosen for this limited edition build. Stopping power is provided by the TrickStuff MAXIMA brakes with 223mm rotors, and titanium Cane Creek Electric Wings cranks that weigh in at just 383 grams. BikeMag
