Scheduled to air Monday, July 28 at 7:00 a.m. ET, SportsCenter will feature a special segment hosted by Nicole Briscoe highlighting the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise triathlon, showcasing the event, its athletes, and the Boise community

BOISE, Idaho / TAMPA, Fla. (June 26, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – ESPN has announced that the upcoming IRONMAN 70.3 Boise triathlon is scheduled to be featured as part of its SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days — a nationwide tour designed to bring ESPN’s flagship program SportsCenter and its anchors directly to fans across America this summer. It was announced last September that Boise, which first hosted an IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon from 2008 to 2015, would return to the IRONMAN 70.3 racing circuit on Saturday, July 26, 2025 bringing the popular event back to southwestern Idaho.

As announced in a press release on June 19, ESPN’s flagship program “SportsCenter” will embark on a nationwide tour to bring popular events closer to fans across America this summer. The slate includes a mix of live on-site shows and storytelling segments from a different state each day for 50 consecutive days. Running from June 27 through Aug. 16, the 2025 event is inspired by the SportsCenter Across America program which aired in 2005.

SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days will feature everything from iconic athletic venues to hometown hidden gems, each stop will spotlight local rivalries, community traditions, and the many ways sports unite fans across the country. Also featured along with the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise triathlon are the likes of UFC 317 in Las Vegas, MLB Home Run Derby, WNBA All-Star Weekend, and the Little League World Series among multiple others.

Scheduled to air on Monday, July 28 at 7:00 a.m. ET, SportsCenter will feature a special segment hosted by Nicole Briscoe spotlighting the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise triathlon. In this pre-produced feature, Briscoe explores Boise’s vibrant community, interviews participating athletes, and introduces viewers to the challenge and spirit of IRONMAN racing in the Pacific Northwest.

“We are so excited to have SportsCenter feature this race and my community here in Boise,” said professional triathlete, IRONMAN winner, and Boise resident, Danielle Lewis. “Having IRONMAN 70.3 Boise return to the circuit is incredibly meaningful for me and my community. Boise provided the environment for me to make my dreams a reality as a professional triathlete and IRONMAN provides an avenue for people to dream, set and reach personal goals. Sharing our sport and our beautiful city with a national audience on ESPN is a big deal to us here in Southwestern Idaho. We hope it inspires others to live, play, and work where their dreams can thrive.”

Surrounded by the Boise Mountains, the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise race will kick off in the pristine waters of Lucky Peak Reservoir, with a 1.2-mile swim starting and finishing in the easily accessible Barclay Bay area. Once out of the water, athletes will head to transition 1 located at the Barclay Bay Parking Area. Athletes will be greeted with a sweeping downhill ride upon exiting the Lucky Peak Reservoir area to start their 56-mile cycling journey through the region. Athletes can expect a rolling, scenic tour of rural Boise roads and neighborhood streets before ending their bike journey with a downtown finish at transition 2. The popular Boise River Greenbelt Trail will play host to the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise run course. The flat, two-loop, 13.1-mile course, will be packed with shade and spectators as athletes wind along the Boise River to complete their journey in downtown Boise.
