The Wildflower Experience Announces Full Race and Festival Line-Up for May 2–4, 2025

April 29, 2025

The Central Coast’s Largest Endurance Sports Weekend Returns with New Races, Clinics, TriDot Games, and Expanded Festival Programming

Lake San Antonio, CA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Wildflower Experience returns to California’s Central Coast from May 2–4, 2025, with a revitalized line-up of races, clinics, and community-driven festival events that promise to make this year’s edition the most immersive yet. Often referred to as the “Woodstock of Triathlon,” Wildflower has long been celebrated as more than just a race – it’s a full weekend of endurance, adventure, and connection.

Now in its 36th year, Wildflower will feature its hallmark Long Course, Olympic, and Sprint triathlons, alongside the newly introduced Gravel Sprint, designed for athletes who thrive on off-road challenges. Complementing these races are additional endurance events, including a 20K Trail Run, 5K and 10K Fun Runs, an Open Water Swim, and the WF2 Challenge, which tests competitors across both the Long Course and Olympic distances.

“This is where racing meets community,” said Colleen Bousman, Event Director and owner of See & Be Productions. “We’re creating an environment where athletes not only compete but also connect with each other, with the land, and with the legacy of Wildflower. The clinics, games, and expanded festival are all about making this a weekend you’ll never forget.”

What’s New and Not to Miss in 2025:
This year’s event goes beyond the traditional race format with the introduction of the TriDot Games, a dynamic new competition blending fun, fitness, and team spirit. Designed for athletes and spectators alike, the TriDot Games feature interactive challenges that build camaraderie and showcase the lighter side of the sport.

Wildflower’s festival schedule is equally packed with hands-on opportunities for athletes to learn, recover, and connect. Clinic highlights include Open Water Swim Tips with top coaches, Trail Running Techniques, Gravel Bike Skills, Nutrition for Endurance Athletes, and Mental Training for Race Day. Pre-race shakeout runs and rides and yoga sessions will also help participants prepare for the course.

Festival Atmosphere & Live Entertainment
In true Wildflower style, the festival grounds will be alive with live music all weekend, featuring Vince Cimo’s Hot Fire, The Vibe Setters, Ben Hein and the Shawn Clark Family Band. Festivalgoers will enjoy gourmet food trucks, craft beverage tastings from Firestone Walker Brewing Company and 15C Wine Bar, and interactive wellness experiences including a spa lounge, paddleboard and kayak rentals, and outdoor fitness classes. The three-day endurance expo will showcase the latest innovations in multisport gear, nutrition, and technology, while families can enjoy kids’ activities, including the much-loved Wildflower Kids Race for children ages 3–12.

Triathlon Clubs & Teams: Core to the Community
With over 60 triathlon clubs and collegiate teams confirmed, the weekend promises high energy, friendly rivalry, and a deep sense of tradition. From group campsites to team relays and social events, Wildflower continues to be a gathering place for endurance communities from across the country.

Camping Like Never Before
Participants can choose from a wide range of accommodations, including traditional campsites, RV sites, and premium glamping options like canvas Bell Tents with queen beds and linens. These immersive setups bring athletes closer to nature and the event’s vibrant, lakeside energy.
