February 4, 2026 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Supertri will unify professional and amateur racing to grow triathlon with a new calendar of combined events culminating in a Supertri Pro Series Final with $800,000 prize money up for grabs in a single day for the world’s best triathletes.
Supertri’s new and unified race format will see athletes – from elite to first timers – participating together under one Supertri brand at multiple triathlon festivals across North America and Europe.
The expansion will increase participation in triathlon whilst ensuring Supertri has a robust and resilient commercial structure in place, and a platform for sustainable growth. By bringing elites and amateurs closer together Supertri aims to inspire the competitor in everyone.
All Supertri Pro Series events will pay 10 deep to encourage development in the sport, with the winners of the Supertri Pro Series Final scooping $100,000 for their day’s work.
In 2026, professional athletes will join amateurs in racing at the following Supertri events:
- Ascension Seton Supertri Austin, USA — May 25
- Supertri Blenheim Palace, UK — June 6
- Supertri Toronto, Canada — July 26
The date and location for the Supertri Pro Series Final will be announced soon.
As part of the unification, professional athletes will race a draft legal, sprint distance format like many of their amateur counterparts in Austin, Blenheim and Toronto, with an innovative, digital-first distribution approach designed to maximise reach and engagement across key platforms. The Supertri Pro Series Final will be raced over the Supertri format and delivered as a full live broadcast, providing a premium, global showcase for the sport and its athletes.
Athletes racing at Supertri Pro Series events will have the opportunity to qualify for the Supertri Pro Series Final, with three women and three men qualifying at each race. The Supertri Pro Series Final will see the qualifiers join Supertri’s all-star central athlete roster in competing for the $800,000 prize pool. All athletes will compete as individuals rather than in teams.
Supertri CEO and Co-Founder, Michael D’hulst, said: “Professional athletes are some of the most inspirational forces in sport. Their efforts seem almost super human to most of us. To be able to see them up close to us, racing the same distances on the same courses gives us a true yardstick and motivates us to push ourselves to our own limits as well.
“By unifying professional and amateur racing, we aim to deliver the next level of inspiration to amateur triathletes and bring the short course triathlon community closer together. Our unified events underscore Supertri’s ability to put on premium event experiences, respond to what our professional athletes need, foster opportunities for elite athlete development through qualification, and will see us take the next stage of digital-first innovation to meet the demands of a modern global audience, all while building a sustainable platform for the long-term growth of the sport.”
Supertri has been staging professional racing since 2017, with the most decorated Olympic medallists in the sport such as Alex Yee, Jonathan Brownlee, Cassandre Beaugrand and Georgia Taylor-Brown regularly competing.
Supertri will be announcing the central athlete roster in the coming weeks.
Further information on all Supertri’s events and registration for amateur athletes can be found on the Supertri website.
