Sofia Gomez Villafane and Cameron Jones Take First at Sold Out Life Time Little Sugar MTB

October 12, 2025

More than 1,400 participants representing 45 states and 17 countries attended third annual event

Bentonville, Ark., (October 12, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Life Time (NYSE: LTH) welcomed more than 1,400 cyclists to the world-class mountain bike trails of Northwest Arkansas this weekend for the 2025 Life Time Little Sugar MTB. In its third year, the race has become well known in the mountain bike community, attracting both age group and professional cyclists to take part, and for the first time, it was included in the Life Time Grand Prix lineup.

Riders from 45 states and 17 countries traveled to take part in one of three race distances – 20K, 50K, and 100K. The point-to-point races started Sunday morning in Coler MTB Reserve and traveled north into Bella Vista, traversing the hollers and ravines of Little Sugar and Back 40. Riders got a firsthand view of the area’s unique bluff lines, caves and waterfalls before crossing the finish line in downtown Bentonville.

For the first time in its history, the Little Sugar MTB race was included in the Life Time Grand Prix series for 2025 – raising the stakes and spotlighting the race as a premier destination for competitive mountain biking. This year’s 100K race drew elite riders from across the country, competing not only for glory but for a substantial $30,000 prize purse, split evenly between the top five female and male finishers.

Little Sugar MTB is the kickoff to the Life Time Big Sugar Classic, a week-long industry gathering and celebration of cycling to cap off the fall season. Festivities throughout the week include brand activations, shakeout rides and social events, before ending with the Life Time Big Sugar Gravel presented by Kenetik on Saturday, October 18.

“The excitement and growth of Life Time Little Sugar MTB over the past three years is an ode to the community this event is rooted in,” said Michelle Duffy, Vice President of Marketing for Life Time. “We’re excited about this kickoff to the Big Sugar Classic week and look forward to the experiences and memories that will be created over the next week in Northwest Arkansas.”
