(San Francisco, CA) – Three time IRONMAN champion, Sarah Piampiano, announces the third annual ‘Ride and Wine’ event to take place on Saturday August 18, 2018, in Sonoma County, California. New for 2018 is an East Coast ride to take place the following week in Bridgehampton, New York on Saturday August 25, 2018.
Both rides will benefit iTri for Girls, the charitable organization for which Piampiano is a board member, and each event comprises a fully SAG supported bike ride followed by lunch and wine-tastings. The event in Sonoma County is catered and based out of Hazel restaurant in Occidental, with wine pairings and tastings by winemaker Kurt Beitler of Bohème Wines. On Long Island, Hamptons Coffee will cater lunch with wine tastings by Channing Daughters Winery
“It’s exciting to be able to expand this event in 2018 and introduce a ride and wine tasting on Long Island where iTri is based,” explains Piampiano. “Combining several of my passions with the broader community is such a fun way to grow awareness and raise funds for iTri,” she adds.
In conjunction with the event, Piampiano has organized an online silent auction also benefiting iTri for Girls. Auction items include a 7-night stay in a private villa in Provence, France, a two-night getaway to Carmel Valley Ranch with an Audi car at your disposal, a boat cruise around SAG Harbor, NY and products from Saucony, Halo Neuroscience, Rudy Project, Shimano and many more. The auction begins on July 9th and runs through August 31st. Click Ride and Wine Auction to place a bid.
