4,000+ Enjoy Running in the Red Rocks

Sedona, AZ (February 23, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Bluewolf Events proudly announces the smashing success of the 21st edition of the RunSedona Half Marathon / 10K / 5K and 5K Walk. The event, held during the first weekend of February, welcomed more than 4,000 participants and their supporters to Sedona’s stunning natural beauty and gorgeous temps.

The event’s popularity continues to skyrocket, selling out for the second year in a row to runners from all 50 U.S. states and 10 countries. This gathering confirms the event’s allure as a premier destination race, a prestige cemented when Runner’s World named it one of the “2024 Best Destination Races.” With every hill climbed, participants understood the spirited motto: “If the hills don’t take your breath away, the scenery will.”

Demonstrating community spirit, RunSedona also champions important causes; this year more than $8,000 was donated to the Sedona Community Food Bank and the Wolf Sanctuary. These contributions underline the event’s significant impact on local initiatives, providing vital support to nonprofit partners operating aid station along the race route.

A new highlight for 2026 was the introduction of the 5K Walk and Paws Walk parade. This exciting addition saw 300 enthusiastic participants and their furry friends joining the race day fun, further broadening the event’s appeal and accessibility.

Among the fields of competitors, the races saw exceptional performances from Arizona athletes. Kaleb Ross from Chandler emerged as the men’s half marathon champion, completing the grueling 13.1-mile course in an astounding time of 1:14:32. On the women’s side, Mia Hazle from Flagstaff, led with a remarkable finish of 1:27:43. Flagstaff’s own Mark Loeffler captured the men’s title in the 10K, while Kairee Silas from Tuba City, claimed the women’s 10K victory. Local Sedona athlete Alexander Feliz triumphed in the non-binary category. Prizes, proudly backed by ALTRA, Sedona Infrared Sauna & Mountrax, and PetSmart, were awarded to top finishers in the marathon races and the adorable Paws Walk, adding extra joy to the day’s achievements.

True to their commitment to environmental responsibility, RunSedona partnered with HydraPak to provide each athlete with a reusable race day cup, supporting the event’s continued dedication to Leave No Trace ethics.

Excitement is already building for the 2027 RunSedona event, slated for Saturday, February 6, 2027, with registration now open. This promises to be another magical weekend amidst Sedona’s vibrant landscape—a race vacation not to be missed!
