December 12, 2025

St. Louis, MO (December 12, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — Running USA, in partnership with Joffe Emergency Services, will once again host Industry Safety Day, a full-day, in-person education and best-practices forum dedicated to improving safety, security, and operational readiness across the running industry, which includes CPR certification. The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, the day before the Running USA Industry Conference presented by haku kicks off at the Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, and is free to current members of Running USA. The conference runs from Feb. 1-3, 2026. Safety Day programming will begin on Saturday at 10am and include lunch for attendees, and wrap up around 5pm.

Following the success and strong demand generated by previous Safety Days held by Running USA and Joffe Emergency Services last year, the 2026 program will include hands-on training, scenario-based workshops, and expert-led sessions designed for event directors, operations team members and all professionals involved in producing running events of every size.

The 2025 Industry Safety Day underscored the need for shared frameworks, better coordination, and consistent safety practices across the endurance industry. More than 25 participants found the day’s activities to be educational, collaborative and worthwhile.

“As I hear from our industry constituents, they want relevant educational programming regardless of race size,” said Shawn Sullivan, Executive Director of Running USA. “The generous return of Joffe Emergency Services to the Industry Conference weekend will provide exactly that.”

“Industry Safety Day lets us put our mission into action by preparing organizers for their hardest day through real-world scenarios and practical skills. We’re grateful to continue this partnership and help build stronger, safer running events nationwide,” said Chris Joffe, CEO of Joffe Emergency Services.
