Running for a Cause: Tammany Turkey Trot Donates $1,599 to Northshore Humane Society

Annual Thanksgiving run combines fitness, family fun, and charitable giving to support local animal welfare.

Covington, LA (December 29, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Tammany Turkey Trot proudly presented a $1,599 donation to the Northshore Humane Society following this year’s Thanksgiving morning race in downtown Covington.

Funds were raised during the annual Tammany Turkey Trot, a beloved community tradition that brings runners, walkers, and families together to celebrate health, gratitude, and giving back. The donation will support the Humane Society’s ongoing mission to care for homeless and injured animals across St. Tammany Parish.

The timing of this contribution is especially meaningful as the Northshore Humane Society is actively fundraising to build a new, expanded facility, including a new veterinary clinic, that will allow the organization to care for more animals and provide enhanced medical services. The Humane Society is also continuing recovery efforts following a recent fire that significantly impacted its facility and operations.
