Registrations Surge as Pensacola Double Bridge Run Nears Sell-Out for 2026 Race
December 4, 2025

Runners from 43 States Already Signed Up!
Pensacola, FL (December 4, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Registration momentum is building fast for the 2026 Pensacola Double Bridge Run, and organizers say the race is already on track to sell out. More than 2,300 participants from 43 states have already registered for one of the Southeast’s most scenic and celebrated running events.
Hosted by Pensacola Sports, the Pensacola Double Bridge Run returns on Saturday, February 7, 2026, offering participants a spectacular course that highlights Northwest Florida’s coastal beauty. The fan-favorite 15K begins in historic Downtown Pensacola with warm-up and start inside the Blue Wahoos Stadium and leads runners across two breathtaking bridge spans—over Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound—before finishing on the sugar-white sands of Pensacola Beach.
For those seeking a shorter distance, the 5K race begins in Gulf Breeze and ends at Pensacola Beach, making it ideal for walkers, families, first-timers, and anyone ready to enjoy the experience.
This beloved event is more than a race—it’s a celebration. Participants will encounter music along the course, enthusiastic volunteers, and a lively beachfront finish line festival at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Every runner receives a long-sleeve tech shirt and commemorative finisher medal to mark their accomplishment.
“The Double Bridge Run is a legacy event for us,” said Pensacola Sports President Ray Palmer. “We welcome elite athletes who travel great distances to compete, but the race is equally beloved by our local and regional running community. Seeing such strong early demand is incredibly exciting, and we hope to accommodate everyone who wants to be part of this iconic event.”
Registrations are trending ahead of previous years, and race organizers expect to reach capacity. Runners are encouraged to register now to guarantee their spot at the starting line.
Athletes and visitors are invited to make a weekend of the event—taking in Pensacola’s walkable downtown, coastal cuisine, rich history, Southern hospitality and world-famous, sugar-white beaches.
Whether you’re chasing a personal record or soaking in a sunrise over the bay, the Pensacola Double Bridge Run offers an unforgettable running experience.
