Professional Triathletes Organisation Announce Pamplona, Navarra, As New Home Of T100 In Spain

London, UK (November 25, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), World Triathlon and the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) have announced a multi-year partnership to bring the Spain T100 Triathlon race to Pamplona, Navarra, Northern Spain on 23-24 May, 2026.

It will feature women’s and men’s professional 100km races, that will take place on the PTO’s global broadcast network, as well as a 100km amateur triathlon.

Pamplona is most famous for the San Fermín festival and its Running of the Bulls event in July, which attract global interest. Beyond the festival, the city is known for its rich history, culture, food, beautiful medieval streets and lively squares, like Plaza del Castillo.

The 2026 Spain T100 will include the Spanish Middle Distance National Championships,and is the sixth T100 event announced for 2026, from the nine race World Championship confirmed in October. Triathlon In Pamplona

The area has hosted the Half Triathlon Pamplona-Iruña since 2015 and quickly grown into a flagship event in European triathlon. Organised in partnership with the local triathlon clubs Trikideak and Navarra Triathlon Federation, it is also backed by the Pamplona City Council and the Navarra Government and features a challenging swim in the Alloz Reservoir, followed by a bike leg through the rolling Navarrese countryside, and concluding with a 18km run through Pamplona’s historic old town, culminating in the iconic Plaza del Castillo, close to where the bull run, or encierro, takes place. Throughout its history, sustainability has been a core commitment, with the organisers embedding eco-friendly measures at every stage of the event.

The Minister of Culture, Sport, and Tourism of the Government of Navarre, Rebeca Esnaola, stated that: “It is an honor for the region of Navarre to host this event and be the Spanish venue for this major event in 2026 and beyond. Pamplona is the third destination in Spain to host a T100 race after Ibiza in 2024 and Oropesa del Mar earlier this year following a relocation from Valencia. It joins the Gold Coast (21-22 March), Singapore (25-26 April), Vancouver (15-16 August) , Dubai (12-15 November) and Qatar as confirmed dates on the T100 Triathlon World Tour in 2026.

Last month, the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and World Triathlon announced a number of revisions to the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour format, including an adapted competition schedule, removal of season-long contract commitments and increased event prize money.
