Paraguay to Host First Ueno Bank IRONMAN 70.3 Encarnación on September 28, 2025

ENCARNACIÓN, Paraguay / TAMPA, Fla. (May 7, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – IRONMAN has announced the addition of the first-ever IRONMAN^® 70.3^® triathlon to be held in the Paraguay. The inaugural Ueno Bank IRONMAN 70.3 Encarnación set to take place on September 28, 2025 in the city of Encarnación, Paraguay. The announcement comes on the heels of Paraguay’s first 5150™ triathlon that took place on April 13.

Consisting of a 1.9km (1.2-mile) swim, 90km (56-mile) bike, and 21.1km (13.1-mile) run, the IRONMAN 70.3 Paraguay race will feature a spectacular course highlighting the city’s Costanera and riverfront, designed to offer both scenic beauty and technical challenge. The event is expected to generate significant tourism and economic impact while inspiring national pride and regional athletic development.

Building on the momentum seen of the inaugural Ueno Bank 5150 Encarnación Paraguay triathlon, the IRONMAN 70.3 Series debut in Paraguay aims to draw athletes from across South America and beyond. The event will offer qualifying slots for the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlon taking place in Nice, France.
