October 26, 2025

The two-day trail event welcomed participants from 34 states and Canada for a weekend of racing in Anniston, Alabama
Anniston, Ala., (October 26, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The inaugural Life Time Coldwater Trail MTB and Run presented by Sunny King Auto welcomed endurance athletes from 34 states and Canada to Anniston, Alabama, on October 24–25. The event marked a successful debut, becoming the largest endurance race in the Southeast and the easternmost qualifier in the prestigious Life Time Leadville Race Series.
Owned and produced by Life Time (NYSE: LTH), the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand, the event featured 50K and 100K mountain bike races and 15K and 50K trail runs on the renowned Coldwater Mountain trail system. The courses were designed to challenge seasoned competitors while remaining accessible to newer trail athletes, reflecting the inclusive spirit of Life Time’s off-road portfolio. With over $4 million invested in Coldwater Mountain’s trail infrastructure, the event showcased not only the natural beauty of northeast Alabama but also the state’s growing commitment to outdoor tourism.
The event also marked a significant milestone for the region, as Coldwater Trail became the easternmost qualifier in the Life Time Leadville Race Series, giving participants a coveted opportunity to earn entry into the legendary Leadville Trail 100 MTB and Run events in Leadville, Colorado. Following Friday and Saturday’s races, 35 participants walked away with a qualification coin to take part in these iconic high-altitude races.
The weekend’s festivities extended beyond the trails, with a finish festival and block party in downtown Anniston featuring live music, food vendors, brand activations, and a Halloween-themed Neewollah celebration that brought together athletes, families, and local residents.
“From the moment we began planning Coldwater Trail, the community has been an incredible partner – welcoming athletes from across the country and helping us bring this vision to life,” said Sarah Stutman, Associate Marketing Director at Life Time. “The energy on the trails and in downtown this weekend was a reflection of what makes this place so special. We’re proud to have launched something that celebrates both world-class endurance racing and the vibrant spirit of this region.”
