Nearly 1,500 Athletes Take to Daytona Beach for a Sold-out CLASH Endurance Half-Marathon & 5K

Daytona Beach, FL (February 11, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Cool temperatures and sunny skies greeted participants ranging in age from eight to 85 this past Saturday, Feb. 7^th at the Daytona Beach Half-Marathon and 5K powered by CLASH Endurance. With record-breaking participation for 2026, walkers and seasoned runners alike lined up at the start located at the iconic Daytona International Speedway® with well-wishing high-fives from CLASH Endurance CEO, Bill Christy as the sendoff. Half-marathon participants took on a 13.1-mile journey individually or as part of a 2/3-person relay and experienced local landmarks such as Bethune-Cookman University, the Riverfront Esplanade and Jackie Robinson Ballpark. This year’s 5K sold-out with more than 700 athletes representing more than XX states and several different countries.

The Embry Riddle Aeronautical Pep Band performed on course and themed Daytona-event-specific aid stations offered hydration and fuel. These included Pit Crew, JEEP Beach, AMA Pro Bike Week and the Volusia County Surf Lifesaving Association, complete with a lifeguard tower. All participants crossed the finish at ONEDaytona and had the opportunity to enjoy a post-race celebration with awards, free beer and non-alcoholic beverages from Michelob Ultra and Daytona Beverage, My Soxy Feet gear, Sarah Buckley of State Farm, Volusia County Beach Safety and muscle relaxation from Stretch Zone Ormond. Local businesses such as Halifax Health and Brown & Brown also lent their event support.

A variety of inspirational athletes competed such as living kidney donor, Christina M. from Ormond Beach; Terry B. of Port Orange who is living with a brain tumor, members of the Daytona Beach Army Recruiting Station in addition to several Irish stock car drivers who used the half as a training day for charities they support back home.
