OVERVIEW

Now celebrating our 15th year of racing, NYCRUNS is one of the nation’s premier independent race organizers. We’re a Brooklyn-based, runner-centric organization respected for our professionally produced and welcoming events.

NYCRUNS is currently seeking a Full Time Partnership Manager. The Partnership Manager reports to the Director of Event Development. Primary responsibilities will include outreach and sales to prospective partners, coordinating fulfillment of their contracted deliverables and acting as their primary relationship manager throughout the entire partnership and event life cycles.

The Partnership Manager should possess world class communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Success in this role requires being mindful of tight timelines leading up to race day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct market research to identify companies spending in the endurance sports market or who may be interested in branching into endurance
  • Utilize Sponsor United, LinkedIn and internet searches to generate leads
  • Utilizing Salesforce, reach out to leads via email and cold calls
  • Create pitch decks outlining custom partnership deliverables and fees.
  • Manage cross functional teams to execute contracted deliverables on behalf of entire business development team
  • Oversee partner activation and serve as the primary point of contact for all partner activations leading up to and throughout race day
  • Create recap reports, including images of all deliverables and any bonuses received.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 to 3 years of sales, partnerships, or business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree at minimum, master’s degree preferred.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities and hold yourself accountable
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in these software packages
    • Microsoft Office (advanced proficiency in excel is a plus)
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Salesforce
    • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Social media expertise is a plus
  • Ability to work approximately 20-25 weekend mornings a year
  • Must be based in New York City

DETAILS

This is a full-time position. This position is hybrid remote/on-site with weekly scheduled office hours.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The minimum compensation amount for this role is targeted at $65,000 – $95,000 plus bonus. Final offer amounts will be determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
