Position Summary

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a driven sponsorship or media sales professional who loves building brand partnerships and moving fast in an entrepreneurial environment. A passion for endurance sports is essential, and experience in event sponsorship, sports marketing, or active lifestyle brand partnerships will set you up for success.

The Manager, Partnership Marketing Sales – Endurance Events is an individual contributor responsible for driving sponsorship, exhibitor (expo), and media sales that elevate Life Time’s portfolio of 30 marquee endurance events—including the Leadville Race Series, UNBOUND Gravel, Sea Otter Classic, Miami Marathon & Half Marathon, and Chicago Half Marathon & 5K. You’ll curate best-in-class brands for on-site expos and experiential activations and sell media inventory across Life Time’s endurance platforms to extend reach and partner visibility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Event Sponsorship, Expo & Media Sales: Own full sales cycle (prospect → proposal → negotiate → close); manage a healthy, category-balanced partner mix that enhances the athlete/spectator experience.
  • Pipeline Development: Proactively identify/qualify, book meetings, and deliver persuasive, solutions-oriented pitches; build senior relationships.
  • Client Retention and Renewal: Maintain account relationships, craft renewal strategies, and adjust proposals based on performance, feedback, and market trends.
  • Market Intelligence & Category Strategy: Track category trends and whitespace; translate insights into targeted lists, pricing rationale, and partner-specific narratives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Partnership Marketing Activation, Event Marketing and Event Operations to ensure seamless onsite execution and deliverables.
  • Communication & Presentation: Represent Life Time with executive-ready presentations; demonstrate strong networking, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Data & CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting in Salesforce; forecast reliably.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of sponsorship or media sales/marketing experience in endurance events, sports, entertainment, or adjacent industries.
  • Proven record of prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing revenue.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Working knowledge of endurance categories and of endemic/non-endemic brand ecosystems.

Location: Remote position. The ideal candidate will live near a key Life Time event or athletic country club market.

Travel: 10%–15% for client meetings and to support sponsorship activations at events.

Pay: This position offers a competitive base salary with a commission plan aligned to individual revenue goals and additional earning potential for overperformance.
