September 11, 2025

The sponsorship will continue the event’s goals of introducing more health and wellness elements in the two communities
PHOENIX, Ariz. (September 11, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The 2025 Phoenix Marathon and 2026 Mesa Marathon will be welcoming HonorHealth as the Official Health and Wellness Sponsor. HonorHealth’s collaboration on both local events includes serving as the Presenting Sponsor of the Runner Recovery Zone. With this sponsorship, HonorHealth will provide on-site event medical coverage throughout each race course and have dedicated tents on race day where specialists will provide post-race recovery stretching and massages for participants. Registration is currently open for both the Phoenix and Mesa Marathons.
“One of our major goals with these events is to grow the overall health and wellness of both communities,” said Phil Dumontet, CEO of Brooksee, producer of the Phoenix Marathon. “By joining forces with HonorHealth, an organization rooted in Arizona for nearly 100 years, we are able to really strengthen that goal, while continuing to build our local relationships.”
HonorHealth is a locally owned, nonprofit, fully integrated health system. Their commitment is to provide Arizona communities with:
- Personalized, high quality care with a focus on improving health and well-being
- Convenient access to healthcare services Valley-wide
- Seamless coordination of care across all specialties
- Support from an expansive network of 4,000+ physicians
“Our mission is to support the health and well-being of our community, and this alliance is a natural extension of that,” added Gayle Cassidy, AVP, HonorHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. “Runners put so much heart and discipline into preparing for these events, and we want to match that commitment by providing the best medical and recovery care possible while promoting lifelong wellness.”
The 2025 Phoenix Marathon is set for Saturday, Dec. 13. The event will offer three distances: a 26.2-mile marathon, a 13.1-mile half marathon and a 10K. All three distances will feature courses that reflect the city’s authenticity, diversity and vibrancy, and will be run completely within the City of Phoenix. The city signature marathon course offers a unique tour through Phoenix, showcasing the Valley of the Sun. The half and full marathon runners will race down Camelback Road through the vibrant Biltmore area, offering a view of scenic neighborhoods, desert landscapes, and the famous Camelback Mountain. 10K participants will begin at 40th Street on the Arizona Canal Trail before quickly entering the marathon and half marathon route. The finish for all three distances brings runners views of Papago Park before they cross the finish line near Phoenix Municipal Stadium, home of the Sun Devils. Registration for the inaugural event is now open.
The Mesa Marathon offers four distances: the marathon, half marathon, 10K and the free Kids 1K run. The marathon course begins below the large white Phoenix sign painted on Usery Mountain. Marathon runners will experience nearly 1,000 feet of net elevation loss while enjoying the diverse scenery from cactus desert to spectacular views of the Phoenix Valley from N. Usery Pass Rd. Half marathoners will experience nearly 200 feet of net elevation loss along the gentle downhill route towards Riverview Park, while 10K participants experience a scenic course that begins at Fitch Park and winds through historic downtown Mesa. The Kids 1K run is a free, non-timed race for children 12 and under. Participation is limited to the first 500 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the 2026 event is now open.
