HEALDSBURG, CA (November 24, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — The Healdsburg Running Company (HRC) is proud to announce that the Healdsburg “LIVE LIKE DREW” Turkey Trot has achieved an extraordinary milestone: with nearly 4,000 runners, Healdsburg now hosts the largest Turkey Trot per capita in the world.

Major metropolitan races such as Chicago (40,000 runners), Sacramento (30,000), and Detroit and Dallas (20,000 each) draw impressive crowds, yet these cities are 10 to 100 times larger than Healdsburg. No other community reaches this level of participation relative to its population—firmly establishing Healdsburg as America’s fittest small city.

A Community Tradition That Gives Back

The LIVE LIKE DREW Turkey Trot raises over six figures annually, thanks to the generosity of local sponsors committed to doing good. Proceeds fund high school scholarships and community wellness programs, extending the event’s impact far beyond Thanksgiving morning.

For an entry fee of around $20, participants receive professional timing, a performance race shirt, and the chance to win top-tier prizes—but most importantly, they join a tradition that strengthens Healdsburg with every step.

A Race for Everyone—Really, Everyone

The Healdsburg Turkey Trot is known for its joyful inclusivity. Alongside runners and walkers, the event welcomes dogs, strollers, costumed families, and even the occasional goat to complete the scenic 5K course.

HRC, which founded and continues to organize the trot each year, holds an ambitious long-term goal: to see over half of Healdsburg’s population participating on Thanksgiving morning.
