GFNY announces seven 2026 USA races on the Road to NYC

Global cycling competition platform GFNY brings its Road to NYC to key U.S. markets across spring and fall

NEW YORK CITY (April 7, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – GFNY, the global cycling competition platform, announces its 2026 GFNY USA calendar, featuring six cycling races and one 5K run across major metropolitan and destination markets in the United States. Each event is part of the GFNY Road to NYC, the global qualification pathway culminating at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York City.

From the flat roads of Miami to the climbs of Pittsburgh and the fast courses of Maryland and Florida, GFNY USA offers athletes multiple opportunities to compete, qualify, and improve their ranking throughout the season on their Road to NYC.

Each GFNY race is part of the GFNY Road to NYC, allowing athletes to progress within a global ranking system. The Road to NYC culminates at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York City, where riders from around the world compete for overall and age-group titles.

Michelob ULTRA GFNY Miami and GFNY Miami 5k run

Scheduled for April 19, 2026, GFNY Miami offers a fully closed to traffic highway for ideal racing conditions. The 83.9 km competitive long course with just 7 meters of elevation gain, making it the flattest race on the GFNY calendar. The race starts and finishes at Miccosukee Resort & Casino on the western edge of Miami, at the gateway to the Everglades.

The event also features a 5K run starting at 6:30 am. Athletes may participate in either event or compete in both through the GFNY Miami Double. Completing both contributes two finishes toward the GFNY 3x medal program.

Gran Premio New York City pro race and the 14th Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC

On May 17, 2026, the UCI 1.2 Gran Premio New York City will feature approximately 120 professional riders from 20 teams starting 10 minutes ahead of the mass participation field.

Both races share the same 137 km (85-mile) course, beginning on the traffic-free lower level of the George Washington Bridge and covering Bergen County, NJ and Rockland County, NY with 1,945 meters (6,500 feet) of climbing.

The 14th Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York City is the culmination of the GFNY Road to NYC and the most important race on the calendar.

Michelob ULTRA GFNY Pittsburgh – Monroeville

The second edition of the race on September 20 features a 128.6 km competitive course with 2,652 meters of climbing. The recreational medium distance (75.7 km) includes the same key climbs and full race support.

Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland Cambridge

The fourth edition takes place on October 4, offering a 148.7 km course with 147 meters of elevation gain along the scenic roads of Dorchester County, including views of the Chesapeake Bay.

Michelob ULTRA GFNY Florida Hardee

The 7th edition of the Florida race on October 25 is now held in Hardee County. It features a fast 135.7 km course with 244 meters of climbing. The route highlights the rural roads of Central Florida, designed for high-speed racing and consistent conditions.
