December 11, 2025

Inaugural GFNY Aguascalientes will be held on March 22, 2026

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – GFNY Global Endurance Sports Series is proud to announce the launch of GFNY Aguascalientes, another new GFNY race in Mexico for the 2026 season, scheduled for March 22, 2026. The latest addition to the series continues GFNY’s strong expansion across Mexico, offering athletes another world-class endurance challenge in an iconic destination.

The competitive long distance is 144.8 km long with 1511 m of climbing. The recreational medium distance will be 78.3 km long.

Aguascalientes is a hotbed for cycling in Mexico,” says GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “Many of our GFNY HQ team members live and ride in ‘Aguas’ so it’s exciting for us to have a race there. It feels like a long awaited homecoming. We’re grateful for the city support we are getting and will ensure an amazing BE A PRO FOR A DAY experience for all riders.

The race will start and finish at the vibrant Isla San Marcos outdoor venue, taking riders through an exhilarating course designed to test endurance while showcasing the stunning landscapes of central Mexico. Athletes will tackle rolling hills and sweeping roads with constant views of the majestic Cerro del Muerto mountain range. With a maximum gradient of 6.3% and a varied terrain, the course delivers a thrilling racing experience for cyclists of all levels.

Beyond the race, Aguascalientes offers a rich cultural experience. From its lively plazas and renowned gastronomy to its blend of tradition and modern energy, the city is full of history, art, and breathtaking scenery—making it an unforgettable destination for participants and their families.
