GFNY announces GFNY Pérez Zeledón-Costa Rica

New York City (March 24, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – GFNY is proud to announce the return of GFNY Costa Rica with GFNY Pérez Zeledón, scheduled for October 11, 2026. The event returns with renewed organization and a new host town, bringing the full GFNY race experience back to one of the most spectacular cycling destinations in Central America.

The competitive long-distance race will cover 115.4 km with 1,903 meters of climbing, while the recreational medium-distance race will cover 86.2 km, offering riders of different levels the opportunity to experience the beauty and challenge of southern Costa Rica.

“There has always been a strong contingent of Costa Ricans racing GFNY in NYC,” says GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “So it’s great to be able to offer a GFNY in their home country again after two years of absence.”

The race will start and finish at Hotel del Sur, where riders will embark on a challenging and scenic course through the lush landscapes surrounding Pérez Zeledón.

GFNY Pérez Zeledón offers a dynamic course surrounded by nature, featuring a mix of climbs, rolling terrain and fast sections. Riders will face several climbs that provide exciting challenges along the route.

GFNY participants and their families will have the opportunity to explore Pérez Zeledón, a destination known for its lush landscapes, authentic culture and welcoming atmosphere. Surrounded by mountains, rivers and tropical vegetation near Chirripó National Park, the region offers a wide range of outdoor experiences, making GFNY Costa Rica a truly unforgettable destination for both athletes and spectators.
