Free Summer Skills Series Aims to Build the Next Generation of Racers

[San Francisco, CA] /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Formula Fixed is teaming up with Rapha to present a summer series of free fixed gear Skills & Conditioning Clinics, offering hands-on training, athlete mentorship, and community connection in the lead-up to the 2025 Qualifiers this summer. Top qualifying athletes will be invited to race the 2026 Pro Series.

Events will be held in major cities across the U.S., coming up next in Chicago (July 27), Los Angeles (August 9), and San Francisco (August 23). Each session combines athletic development with culture-forward storytelling, designed to support and uplift riders of all backgrounds – especially those new to racing.

The series kicked off in New York City on June 29, where attendees joined Formula Fixed podium winner Brittany O’Neal for a morning of empowering conversation and on-bike training. Starting with a panel, O’Neal was joined by a local nutritionist and bike mechanic, covering race prep essentials—from fueling strategies and bike set-up to cultivating a strong racer mindset. The session was followed by hands-on drills focused on fixed gear fundamentals, including cornering technique, bike handling, and racecraft.

“The events are designed to break down barriers to entry and give potential racers the information they need to get started,” said Clare Grady, Formula Fixed Co-founder. “We’ve seen so much talent in this space—our job is to create the structure, mentorship, and support system to match.”

Created in partnership with Rapha, the global cycling brand known for its commitment to community and culture, the clinic series deepens a core part of Formula Fixed’s mission: to make fixed gear racing accessible, inclusive, and built to last.

Riders aged 16+ of all levels are encouraged to join, especially women, gender-diverse riders, and riders of color. All events are free, with each session running in tandem with Formula Fixed’s 2025 Qualifiers.

This summer’s clinics run in parallel with the Formula Fixed 2025 Qualifiers, offering participants a chance to sharpen their skills and gain visibility ahead of the August and September Qualifier weekends.
