/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The first annual Spooky Crit is a Halloween-themed gravel criterium happening November 1, 2025 in Palos Verdes Estates, CA.

Spooky Crit is a first-of-its-kind race in Southern California – a thrilling, Halloween-inspired cycling event where speed meets gravel, costumes meet competition, and community meets a cause.

• The race is designed to combine the thrill of criterium racing with the grit and challenges of gravel/cyclocross.
• Racers and spectators are encouraged to dress up to enhance the Halloween inspired atmosphere.
• Between races, attendees can visit numerous retail booths and participate in the raffle while enjoying food, beverages, and music.
• Open Men and Open Women fields are offered equal $10k prize purses.
• All net proceeds support LA fire relief and rebuilding trails lost during the recent fires.

Race Format

Races will be a preset time + 1 lap on a 1-mile enclosed loop. Fast, punchy laps on gravel/dirt with 100 ft of climbing per lap. Expect tight turns, punchy climbs, singletrack, and a spooky descent.

Spooky Crit is open to all levels, from pros to amateurs, and will include the following race categories at the times listed below on Saturday, November 1st:

• Kids Race – Free for all children: 11 AM
• First Timers: 11:30 AM (20 mins + 1 lap)
• Costume: 12:10 PM (20 mins + 1 lap)
• Clunker Crit (Retro/Singlespeed/etc): 1 PM (20 mins + 1 lap)
• Age Group Women: 1:45 PM (20 mins + 1 lap)
• Age Group Men: 2:30 PM (20 mins + 1 lap)
• Open Women ($10k Prize Purse, Pays 3 Deep): 3:30 PM (30 min + 1 lap)
• Open Men ($10k Prize Purse, Pays 3 Deep): 4:30 PM (35 min + 1 lap)
