Dave McGillivray’s nonprofit seeks next round of requests for monetary support from mission-aligned programs
BOSTON, Mass. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation is seeking applications for grants from nonprofit organizations throughout the region of New England. Organizations can request up to $5,000 in monetary support for programs that align with one or more of the Finish Strong Foundation’s mission elements: physical fitness, education and social-emotional learning. Interested nonprofits can learn more and submit an application here. Applications will be accepted until Nov. 14.
To date, the foundation has awarded over $75,000 in grants since launching the program in 2024. The foundation will continue to prioritize organizations headquartered in New England or with significant impact in the New England region. Preference will also be given to geographic areas with low reading scores and high poverty levels. New for this cycle of awards, the foundation will also prioritize applications from organizations currently implementing, or planning to implement, the foundation’s Dream Big Marathon (DBM) program within the next 12 months.
“We recognize that many outstanding organizations share our dedication to promoting well-rounded lifestyles for youth – ones that include healthy activity, mindfulness and academic curiosity,” said Laurita Kaigler-Crawlle, executive director of the Finish Strong Foundation. “Finish Strong Grants empower these nonprofits to further our mission with their own unique programming, and help us expand awareness for the importance of setting up the next generation of young people for success.”
