Falmouth Road Race, Inc. Awards Nearly $100,000 in Scholarships

The funds were awarded to more than 50 students across five local high schools
FALMOUTH, Mass. (June 11, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Falmouth Road Race, Inc., the nonprofit behind the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, has announced the recipients of over $100,000 in scholarships given to local students. Recipients included 52 students from five local high schools, including Falmouth High School, Mashpee Middle-High School, Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, Sturgis Charter Public School East Campus and Avon Old Farms School.
Among the scholarships awarded was the Danielle Mogardo Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship specifically awarded to a Falmouth High School student selected by the Falmouth High School staff.
Students eligible for the Falmouth Road Race, Inc. scholarships were graduating seniors who reside in Falmouth or Mashpee and who achieved academic success, participated in high school sports or other extracurricular activities, showed leadership and integrity and planned to attend a two- or four-year college, university, or trade school. Preference was given to those who had volunteered for the ASICS Falmouth Road Race.

“Although the ASICS Falmouth Road Race only happens once a year, our team at Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is working year-round to continue towards our mission of giving back to our amazing community,” said Megan Faulkner, executive director of Falmouth Road Race, Inc. “This program is a direct result of the fundraising that the road race drives. These scholarships are a special way for us to help support the young adults in our community, and we hope to grow this program even more in future years!”
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is committed to supporting and promoting local organizations with a specific focus on youth athletics and programming that promotes health and wellness. Since 2012, the Falmouth Road Race, Inc. has given back over $5.9 million to the community in the form of scholarships to graduating high school seniors, grant awards, donations to volunteer groups who support the race, sponsorships of local events and the completion of various large projects to benefit the town.
