Driver charged with DUI manslaughter in death of Florida Marathon runner

An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a 74-year-old runner, who was struck by a vehicle while running the Health First Florida 1/2 Marathon in Melbourne, Fla., on Feb. 8, and later died of his injuries.
According to Melbourne Police, officers responded on race day to a crash involving an SUV that crossed into a lane closed off for participants, roughly one mile (1.6 km) from the start. The vehicle struck Albert Swann of Georgia, Fla., who was transported to hospital and passed away on Feb. 16. CANADIAN Running Magazine
