Diplo’s Run Club Returns to Seattle With 8,000 Runners This Weekend

Grammy-winning artist Diplo will run the 5K and headline a post-race concert at Gas Works Park, joined by Mayor of Seattle Bruce Harrell and TOKiMONSTA, as participants take in Lake Union and views of downtown Seattle

SEATTLE /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – More than 8,000 participants are expected to gather at Gas Works Park this Saturday for the return of Diplo’s Run Club, a 5K race followed by a live DJ performance from the three-time Grammy winner.

The event, combining fitness and music, features a scenic run along the Burke-Gilman Trail and a post-race concert with Diplo and TOKiMONSTA. The second annual Seattle edition follows a successful debut last year that ranked among the 100 largest inaugural races in the U.S.

“Launching Diplo’s Run Club last year was some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time,” Diplo said. “There’s nothing better than bringing people together to run and celebrate, and I’m thrilled to bring the energy back to Seattle this year.”

The Seattle race will take place at Gas Works Park, with the start line set near the intersection of Northlake Way and Meridian Avenue North. The event will also feature collaborations with local pro athletes and celebrity friends, including a start line set by Rocryte, Official Seattle Mariners DJ and appearances from the Mariners Moose mascot and Mayor Bruce Harrell.

Fitness has long been part of Diplo’s life, and his Run Club merges music and movement in a family-friendly daytime setting — a first-of-its-kind concept from the Grammy winner. The Seattle event partners with national nonprofit Good Sports, through PLUS1, to support local youth organizations.

Race weekend begins Friday with packet pickup and a lifestyle expo at Seattle Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 5K starts Saturday at 9 a.m. at Gas Works Park, followed by a finish line festival and live performances. Registration is open at www.diplosrunclub.com.
