Colorados Only Week-long road bike tour
Crested Butte, Colo. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Colorado’s Ride, a five-day road cycling tour celebrating the beauty, challenge, and camaraderie of riding in the Rocky Mountains, is proud to announce its 2026 event taking place August 10–14, 2026. This year’s tour features a brand-new route and marks the fourth year of operating Colorado’s Ride.
The 2026 tour will start and finish in Crested Butte, with overnight stops in Buena Vista, Salida, and Gunnison. Approximately 350 cyclists from across the United States will take part, enjoying fully supported rides, outdoor camping in each host community, and well-stocked aid stations along the route.
Colorado’s Ride is directed by Bill Plock, who says the event’s smaller size is one of its greatest strengths.
“What makes Colorado’s Ride special is the camaraderie,” said Plock. “Because we’re a smaller tour, riders really get to know each other over the course of the week. By the end, it feels like a moving community. That connection — between riders, volunteers, and the towns that host us — is what I’m most proud of.”
The tour will also include an exciting ride toward Gunnison and the Black Canyon, giving cyclists a chance to experience some of Colorado’s most iconic and inspiring landscapes.
Safety and support remain a top priority. Riders will benefit from professional road support provided by the Colorado State Patrol, as well as experienced staff and volunteers throughout the route. Colorado’s Ride also partners with local non-profits, whose volunteers assist with route support while benefiting directly from the event. In addition, teams participating in the ride are raising money for causes they care about, further strengthening the tour’s community impact.
The 2026 event is proudly presented by CommonSpirit, whose support helps make the ride possible and keeps the focus on community, wellness, and giving back.
With its combination of stunning scenery, strong community ties, and a welcoming atmosphere, Colorado’s Ride continues to grow as a feel-good event that brings people together — on the bike and beyond.
