Cocodona 250’s Latest Film “The Cutoff” Announces Multi-City Film Tour
January 31, 2026

Film Tour Begins February 20, 2026 at the Orphium Theater in Flagstaff, Arizona and will visit 6 total cities.
PHOENIX, AZ /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — Aravaipa Running, a premier U.S. running event and media company, is proud to announce the return of their multi-city film tour, this time for The Cutoff, a feature-length documentary directed by Dylan Harris of SOMO Collective and edited by Brooks Upham.
Set within the grueling Cocodona 250 mile ultramarathon traversing the state of Arizona, The Cutoff explores a landscape where time, not distance, is the runner’s most unforgiving opponent. While many sports documentaries focus on the podium finishers, this 60-minute film shines a spotlight on the “back of the pack” underdogs. These athletes face some of the most grueling conditions for twice the amount of time as the front runners; often fighting exhaustion, injury, and self-doubt to reach checkpoints just minutes before the clock runs out.
“The elite performances are only a fraction of the story,” says Director Dylan Harris. “There is real drama at the back, where the battle isn’t against other runners, but against yourself and the clock. We wanted to capture the raw, emotional reality of what it means to keep moving when the odds and time itself are stacked against you.”
The film tour kicks off on Friday February 20, 2026, in Flagstaff and will travel through major trail hubs including Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, and Salt Lake City. Each screening offers the trail community a chance to gather and witness what isn’t usually the focus of the media teams, the unsponsored, every day runners, and the intense emotion of barely making it through the relentless race cutoffs.
