Challenge Canberra Ready to Host a Festival of Triathlon Racing This Weekend

November 12, 2025

November 12, 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Challenge Canberra returns to Australia’s capital this weekend, 15–16 November 2025, bringing a full festival of triathlon to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Hundreds of athletes will be racing over the weekend across a wide range of distances and formats. On Saturday, athletes will take on the Aquathlon and Aqua Kids Challenge, before the racing continues on Sunday with Middle Distance, Sprint, Super Sprint, Olympic Triathlon and Olympic Aquabike events.

Hundreds of age group athletes are expected to take part, with the Middle and Standard (Olympic) distance triathlon and aquabike events acting as World Qualifying Events for the 2026 Multisport World Championships. This provides an opportunity for athletes to secure their place on the start line at one of triathlon’s biggest global stages.

Meanwhile, the Sprint, Super Sprint and Kids races ensure the weekend remains accessible to new athletes, juniors and those looking to take their next step in the sport. With all courses centred around Lake Burley Griffin, athletes and spectators will enjoy an event hub surrounded by some of the nation’s most recognisable landmarks.

Challenge Canberra continues to place community, participation and the triathlon experience at the heart of the event, offering an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for both newcomers and experienced athletes.
