New feature delivers segment-by-segment surface insights to help athletes refine pacing and race strategy.

Austin, TX /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Best Bike Split, the leading race modeling and pacing platform for cyclists and triathletes, has unveiled its newest premium feature: Advanced Surface Conditions. This tool brings unprecedented detail to race planning by factoring in course surface types for every segment of a rider’s race.

The Advanced Surface Conditions feature enhances race models by integrating pavement, gravel, and dirt segments directly into pacing strategies and race planning.This same data also powers our BBS AI Assistant, where users can ask course and condition specific questions about tire selection and tire pressure. The new Surfaces Chart visually displays road and off-road conditions along the course, with each section color-coded by surface type. Riders can mouse over the chart to view the corresponding coefficient of rolling resistance (Crr) and pinpoint exactly where transitions occur between different surfaces.

Interactive controls allow athletes to click and drag across the chart to zoom into specific course sections, with the map updating simultaneously to highlight the chosen area. This level of precision provides athletes with actionable insight into how changing surfaces will impact pacing and performance.
